Services · Web & Commerce

Commerce programs that actually ship.

Replatforms, new builds, and the delivery discipline that keeps them on schedule. I've spent 13+ years running web and commerce projects for enterprise clients — and I'm the one accountable when the date moves.

How I help

Three ways a project usually starts

Most engagements are one of these. If yours is a mix, say so on the call and we'll scope it properly.

01 · Replatform

Replatform & migration

Move off a platform that's holding you back without losing traffic, data or your team's patience.

  • Platform evaluation and a written recommendation
  • Catalog, customer and order migration plan
  • URL mapping so rankings survive the move
  • Phased cutover with a rollback path

Best for: Stores on aging Magento, Drupal or a custom build nobody wants to touch.

02 · Build

New builds

A storefront or marketing site scoped properly before anyone writes a line of code.

  • Requirements, wireframes and a written scope
  • Build on Shopify, BigCommerce or Webflow
  • QA across browsers, devices and screen readers
  • Launch plan, analytics and team training

Best for: Businesses that have outgrown a template or a DIY site.

03 · Lead

Program & delivery leadership

You already have the team, or the agency. You need one person accountable for the outcome.

  • Scope, schedule and budget ownership
  • Statements of Work and estimates
  • Vendor, offshore and contractor coordination
  • Executive status reporting that stays honest

Best for: Teams juggling several vendors or projects at once.

Process

How an engagement runs

The same five steps every time, so nobody is guessing what happens next.

  1. 01

    Discover

A short call, then a written summary of goals, audience, constraints and budget. No charge, no obligation.

  2. 02

    Scope & estimate

A Statement of Work with fixed deliverables, a schedule and a number. You approve it before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Design & build

Weekly check-ins, a board you can see at any time, and a staging URL from the first week.

  4. 04

    QA & launch

Cross-browser and device QA, content and SEO checks, then a cutover plan with a way back.

  5. 05

    Support

A support window after launch, plus training so your team isn't dependent on me.

Questions

Asked before every project

What does a project cost?

It depends entirely on scope, so every project starts with a written estimate before you commit to anything. For context, I've run engagements from small marketing sites up to $500K builds, and portfolios past $1M a year.

How long does it take?

A marketing site is usually 6–10 weeks from kickoff to launch. A commerce replatform is more often 3–6 months, depending on catalog size and how much data has to move. You get the real schedule in the Statement of Work, not a guess on a call.

Do you build it yourself or manage a team?

Both, depending on what the project needs. Smaller builds I do directly. Larger programs I scope, staff and run — coordinating developers, designers, QA and offshore resources, which is what I've done for enterprise clients since 2012.

Can you work with my existing agency or developers?

Yes, and it's a good chunk of what I do. Bringing in one accountable program lead is often faster than replacing a team that already knows your business.
